The study delves into the landscape of television broadcasting in Zimbabwe, with a focus on ownership, licensing, funding, programming, and audience issues. Through a comprehensive analysis of these areas, the research aims to provide a better understanding of the current state of television broadcasting in the country and identify potential areas for improvement. By shedding light on the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, this study hopes to contribute to the development of a more vibrant and sustainable television broadcasting sector in Zimbabwe. At the time of compiling this report Transmedia reported that there are 34 transmission towers in the country, of these only 18 are digital operational transmission towers. Transmedia is currently working on putting up more transmission towers to make them 48. Though plans are underway to ensure the installation of the remaining 30 transmission towers , Transmedia has made strides to ensure Direct to Home (DTH) that will work hand in hand with Digital terrestrial television (DTT).
